About Us

The Rizzo company was founded in Italy in the 1960s, driven by the strength and passion of Elio Rizzo. Initially, the company operated as a craft workshop: the frame production process, from design to assembly, was overseen by the founder and his collaborators with care and attention to detail. The company grew thanks to the dedication of its founder, and in the 1970s, the Rizzo workshop participated in MIDO, an international event dedicated to the global eyewear industry, where it presented the first colored acetate frames.

SINCE 1960

In the 1990s, Gianluca Rizzo, son of the founder, decided to not only focus on production but also on distribution. He opened his first optical stores, which have now grown to 13. In Rizzo optical centers, you can find both famous luxury brands, handmade glasses from small artisan workshops, and their own product lines, all produced and finished entirely by hand, maintaining the quality and prestige of artisanal 'Made in Italy.'
